COMPLEXCON 2026 | UNZIP THE OTHER YOU
LOS ANGELES, CA · OCTOBER 3–4, 2026
WHY UNZIP?
We live in an age of information overload, where people are often judged in seconds. Online or offline, first impressions work like the opening two seconds of a video—fast, immediate, and often enough to form a label. But what we see first is rarely the whole person.
Behind those familiar roles live entirely different worlds. The office worker steps into the boxing ring. The lawyer gets on her motorcycle. The model student picks up a tattoo machine. The polished executive paints walls. The quiet girl takes the mic and fronts a punk band. What looks like contradiction from the outside is simply another part of the same life.
“UNZIP THE OTHER YOU” Challenges the idea that one person should fit one image. Mainstream roles and subcultural passions do not cancel each other out—they collide, overlap and exist within the same body. One person can follow different codes, enter different worlds and still remain completely themselves.
There is no first self and second self. No normal side and hidden side. Just more than one way to be you. Unzip the surface. Let every side exist. Make waves as the whole you.
BOTH SIDES ARE YOU
WHY ZIPPING UP THE OTHER YOU
HOW TO UNZIP?
WHAT ELSE CAN WE UNZIP?
Created exclusively for the event, the collection translates “UNZIP THE OTHER YOU” into wearable form through split silhouettes and functional zipper constructions. Two hoodies or two caps can be unzipped and recombined across left and right panels, creating four different looks from just two pieces and turning identity switching into something the wearer can physically build and remix.
Extending this idea of remixing, buy a COMPLEXCON limited-edition zipper cap and unlock the chance to create your own. Customize one of our limited DIY blank caps, then unzip, swap and reconnect the pieces with your original cap to build new combinations and unlock more ways to wear both sides.
Beyond the product itself, the campaign extends into a series of themed stickers, pins and collectible objects inspired by the different sides of the self.
Follow AELFRIC EDEN’s official Instagram and TikTok accounts, then snap a photo anywhere at the booth and post your check-in to receive one sticker and one pin.
